It has a smooth bark. Grows at a very slow rate with height of 1ft. tall and spread of 3 ft. In 10 years in spreading form. Easily grown in full sun exposure but tolerates partial sunlight in rich, moist, well-drained soil. A great choice for groundcover and specimen.
